My 87 year old mother lives in a Nursing home, also in Orillia, as suffers from mild dementia. Recently my daughter was planning to be married in Whitby, and as father of the Bride, I was not in a position to be able to look after transportation and care arrangements for my mother during this event.
We contacted Life's a Trip and met Rhonda who agreed to look after this for us. Rhonda has a great personality and meshed very well with my mother as she (my mother) has commented on attending the wedding with Rhonda in only the most positive and glowing terms. Rhonda met with my family, including my mother in advance of the event, where arrangements were discussed and agreed to. Clothing for my mother was determined and delivered to Rhonda in advance so that there would be no looking for these items on the day of the wedding.
Rhonda arrived on time and provided excellent service to and from the wedding as requested. On arrival home, Rhonda had left voice and electronic mail messages to advise that they had arrived home with no issues or problems and commented that she and my mother had gotten along quite well.
I would like to comment that Rhonda was very focused on proper care for my mother, ensured that she had access to all required services and facilities, and fit into our significant family event quite seamlessly and comfortably.
I will certainly have no hesitation engaging Life's-a-Trip for future events with my mother, and would recommend this service to others.

Words cannot begin to express how incredible it was to have Rhonda support my Grandmother at my recent wedding. My day would not have been complete had she not been able to be there, and that simply wasn't possible without the expertise of someone like Rhonda.

From meeting her before hand, and the suggestion of taking my grandmothers picture with hers so she would remember their meeting; to the feedback provided to me around a "social story" I wrote for her about the wedding (to help my grandmother remember the details of the wedding that she kept forgetting), right up until the wedding day. Rhonda provided support and compassion each and every step of the way. She was flexible, accommodating and truly understanding.
It is refreshing to see someone who is as passionate and committed to her work as Rhonda is. I would hire her again in a moment to work with my grandmother and recommend her and her services to anyone with a special loved one who needs a little extra support.
The services provide by Life's A Trip changed my wedding day and truly made a difference for both my Grandmother and I. She felt completely comfortable with Rhonda from the moment they met. Rhonda was able to quickly identify topics of common interest and use them to build a relationship. She was patient and kind to my grandmother and gave her space to do her 'thing', be her self, while ensuring her safety and security in a number of unfamiliar and potentially overwhelming environments.
